The Pentagon (5-Strand) Stitch

The Pentagon Stitch is just like the triangle stitch but with two extra strands. You should be able to do the triangle stitch before working on this one.

You will need:
5 pieces of craft lace - equal length; 1' of lace will equal about 2.5'' of lanyard

II. Finishing the Pentagon Stitch:

Tips:
Pentagon stitches are much easier after the starting stitch has been completed. Do not get frustrated if you find it difficult to complete the starting stitch. Keep trying and eventually you will get it.

While it may be counterintuitive, you need to alternate your stitches to keep your lanyard from twisting. This means that if you start a stitch with your top strand going to the left, you need to start your next stitch with the top strand going to the right. Keep switching between the top strand to the left and top strand to the right all the way through the lanyard.
